Sunday 21 June saw the climax of our Magna Carta celebrations when the Rt Rev'd Christopher Lowson, Bishop of Lincoln, conducted our morning worship. At the conclusion of the service he dedicated a memorial plaque at the base of the Stephen Langton stained glass window. This was follwed by him cutting a specially baked cake on which clause 40; "To no one will we sell, to no one deney or delay right or justice". After the cutting of the cake it was enjoyed with refreshments at Langton Manor, the site of where it is thought Stephen langton was born.
